Hi there,
after waiting 4 weeks for the Band-Aids to arrive in Germany (Order #4788), we got them today and tried them at once. We tried them on both 1st and 2nd generation Nexus 7 tablets, and we only got one of the Band-Aids to work. With the other two, there’s no connectivity at all.
We tried exchanging the Band-Aids and the antennas, and it seems like the problem is within the Band-Aids itself, not the antennas. We also put a short video of the test on youtube: http://youtu.be/XvCvGNxYC_E
Please tell us if we have done anything wrong, or what else you could suggest us to get it to work.
Thank you for your help.
With kind regards

It would appear our device is not compatible with the newer generations of the Nexus 7. I’ve forwarded your issue to our engineers and I’ll have some answers for you soon.
It’s interesting to note that one of the band-aids did work with the second gen Nexus 7. Would you mind sticking one of the band-aids onto the older Nexus 7 tablet you have there. When you powercycle the unit, please make sure the band-aid is already bound properly. Sometimes a poor connection could create an issue.
Thanks so much for your thorough troubleshooting video. It will help us figure out your issue.
Thanks!
Jake

November 20, 2013 at 2:23 am #5088Hi Jake,
it’s definitely not a problem of the 2nd-gen Nexus 7.
The one band-aid that is working was tried on all Nexus 7 models we had, both 2012 and 2013, and it worked on all of them.
The defective ones one the other hand don’t work on both the 2012 and the 2013 version. So it definitely is not the tablet’s fault (I tried to show that in the video). Of course when we tried all of that, we powercycled the unit after attaching the band-aid, still nothing. So to sum up: 1 band-aid works, 2 band-aids don’t work, no matter what tablet is used.
Please provide us with a solution as soon as possible.
Thanks.Jonas Wolf

We ordered 3 band-aids in September, now it’s nearly December and we only have one that is working. We need them next week when we move into our new building.
At least give us a status…
