Hi! I have a project for a museum at San Francisco; that is an installation art and we need to take photos for our visitors using a wireless tech to take that pictures in certain locations (we think NFC is a good alternative)… like a photoboots in different spots of the museum.
This is an outline of the experience we need and I´m here asking you if your products can give us a solution for that:
– Guest buys ticket(s) for Color Factory online.
– Guest arrives at Color Factory and waits outside until time of ticket.
– Guest’s ticket is scanned by scanner connected to ticketing system.
– Guest makes their way into Color Factory and downstairs to Registration.
– Each Guest signs into Color Factory at 1 of 4 kiosks in Registration.
– Registration captures Name, Email, and sign Legal Documents
– Kiosk software assigns them a number and prints out a barcode or QR code with that number on it.
– Guest goes to 6 camera stations
– At each camera station Guest scans barcode at station barcode reader.
– Guest gets into place and count down lights by the camera lens shows count down
– 18″ monitor at camera station shows Guest how they are framed in the shot.
– Camera takes the photo, and lights fire
– Photo taken does not display on monitor (encourage guest to move along)
– Somehow show guests what their photos might look like at each station?
– Small computer at each camera station sends Guest ID and photo to server.
– Server uses Guest ID to assign email address
– Server sends email with photo attached.
– Guest goes to next camera station and takes another photo.
– Each Guest could take 6+ photos during the exhibit
– Store all photo in local drive connected to Server
– Store all photo in Cloud for Customer Service
– 400 – 900 guests per day. Exhibit open 6 days a week. 4 – 8 weeks long.
– Seemless email delivery is important for easy sharing/posting
– Camera enclosure at each station needs to be minimal and look amazing.
– One camera station will have camera mount on ceiling looking down, the others should be more normal like 4 ft off the ground shooting horizontally toward Guest 3 – 10 ft away…Regards!

Hi,
Were you referring to a full solution, like nfc-kiosk @ https://flomio.com/nfc-kiosk/?
Or are you after looking for NFC terminals?
Thanks!
June 24, 2017 at 5:11 am #60194We need to make this project work with any technology you suggest. The experience for museum visitors planned to be as described on my previous message. I don’t know what devices are the option for us… but I suppose we need kioks for register, nfc bracelet for visitors, devices to take remote pictures when visitors put their bracelets on a “photo point”. This photos need to be transfered automatically to a website (this will be developed in parallel… with an API to receive photo upload requests, etc).
The thing here is, can you provide this hardware/software solutions for us? or an alternative to provide a good solution for the client?
June 26, 2017 at 12:27 am #60207Hi,
Elvil, currently our nfc-kiosk software is unmaintained, so we’d need to come sort of consulting arrangement to do the development. We are currently quite busy though and are loathe to take on projects unless we are sure both parties will ultimately be happy with the outcome.
Some questions:
– Guest buys ticket(s) for Color Factory online.
– Guest arrives at Color Factory and waits outside until time of ticket.
– Guest’s ticket is scanned by scanner connected to ticketing system. Is there pre-existing ticketing infrastructure?
How does the guest get the physical ticket before they arrive? Or do they get it on arrival?
Is it sent to them? Do they print it at home? A choice of both?
Does the ticket already have a barcode on it? -
