Hi Flomies,
I am trying to configure nfc actions to launch a url which is stored on my card, is it possible?
I’ve tried editing the IFTTT url as well, can I pass what I read on the nfc tag to the url as? i.e test.com/rfid=XXXXX when XXXXX is the card UID or whatever is stored on the card?
What does “Autholaunch URLs” do?
Thanks for your help!
DavidSeptember 12, 2017 at 8:57 am #60929Hi,
It is possible yes. You should write your URL in the write tags section, then tap the tag in the Log/Read page.
IFTTT is for triggering IFTTT actions, see http://docs.flomio.com/#nfc-actions-amp-ifttt for more information.
Autolaunch URLs determines whether or not URLs which are read automatically launch, or just display the url.Scott
September 12, 2017 at 12:06 pm #60939Hi Scott,
Thank you for your answer, that’s what I thought as well, but looks like it doesn’t work for me. In the log, I can only see the card UID, and I can’t see the URL. I tried writing the URL with this app and with others. I think that’s why it’s not auto launching it.
I am using a ACR1255U-J1 reader at the moment. Not sure what is wrong. Thanks for your help.
DavidSeptember 12, 2017 at 12:22 pm #60941I believe the issue is that I am unable to write to the tag using the app. Any other way to write to the tag that would work? maybe with an Android app?
Thanks,
DavidSeptember 13, 2017 at 12:17 am #60955Hi David, can you verify that you can launch the URL that you’ve written using an Android phone? I suspect that for some reason your tag has not been properly written with the URL. This can happen for a few reasons unrelated to the NFC Actions app. For instance, you could be using a tag that’s not supported by NFC Actions. We currently support NFC Type 2 tags like Mifare Ultralight and NTAG203. The problem also may be that the tag has been set to READ ONLY mode. This can happen if you’re reusing a tag that’s been previously configured. You can try to write the tag URL with an Android app to eliminate these as potential issues. It will help us narrow down any bug that may be occurring with the NFC Actions app.
What model phone are you using with NFC Actions? iPhone7?

RichardSeptember 13, 2017 at 7:30 am #60966Thank you Richard,
I have used Mifare calssic, looks like that’s the issue. I have ordered a fre NTAG203 and Mifare Ultralight tags and will try with those when they arrive.
My current tags work with multiple Android apps, and even in NFC Actions, sometimes I see HEX data written in the log, if my card is not empty.
I will update in a couple of days.
Thank you for your help,
