Hello,
I have the ASUS Transformer Pad (TF103C) and the ACR35 mobile reader. However when I try to test the 2 together with the mobile mate application, it says there is a reader error.
Do you think this can solved with your SDK? I’m hoping to use the tablet as a POS system for our bar alongside http://vendhq.com/. I want customers with an account to be able to put drinks on their NFC keyfob that they will be issued.
Basically I need vend to read the Fob number and bring up the customer within their web browser interface.
If you have any ideas, suggestions or products that can help please let me know as this is all new to me.
Many thanks
May 2, 2016 at 6:27 pm #55382Hi, it doesn’t seem that the ASUS TF103C is in the list of supported devices for the ACR35 driver. This means that the Flomio SDK will not operate either since it depends on the driver to communicate with the reader.
My recommendation is to either use a different tablet or use a different reader. The FloBLE Plus or FloBLE EMV will likely work with the ASUS TF103C since it supports Bluetooth4.0 (BLE).
May 3, 2016 at 12:31 pm #55388Hello Richard,
After further investigation with their AJ demo the 2 systems do work together. I can see the ATR number from cards using the ACR35.
As such do you think your SDK can help me with the tasks I need to set up?
Thanks
May 3, 2016 at 1:08 pm #55390Yes, I would assume so. That said there’s always a risk of some obscure issue surfacing and not being able to troubleshoot it properly because your device is not formerly supported by the ACS driver. We’ve run into issues like this before with major enterprise deployments which can put a strain on relationships. But if you’re fully aware of these risks and are willing to take the chance, then I think the Flomio SDK can help you get setup.
May 3, 2016 at 5:12 pm #55393I’m happy with the risks, we are a small company so can adapt to issues that may occur.
It’s not very difficult what we need, it’s just I’m not fully sure how to do it.
Vends interface sits on a web browser, to pull up a customer you can type their name or number into a text field.
All I want the tags to do is input their serial number into the field to automatically bring up the customer.
If you think this is possible with your SDk I would be happy to buy it.
Thank
May 4, 2016 at 10:07 am #55402Yes, the SDK can help you read HTML tags and open web views on Android with the ACR1255U-J1 but not the ACR35. We don’t support any audio jack readers on Android because we learned a while back that it was too difficult (and costly).
May 8, 2016 at 9:53 pm #55432Hello Richard,
So I bought the SDK but I have to admit I’m no coder. Is this a service you guys could offer?
I Literally just need an app for android that recognises the reader and enters the UID in a text field when the tag is run, nothing more!
Let me know,
Many thanks
May 8, 2016 at 11:29 pm #55433Hi, do you have an ACR1255U-J1?? We can help you with that product but would have to charge you for ACR35 support on Android. Our contract rate is $150/hr.
best,
RichardMay 9, 2016 at 10:29 am #55438Hey Richard,
I’m happy to buy whatever makes our lives easier.
I think the ACR1255U would probably be better for us anyway.
Thanks
May 9, 2016 at 10:51 am #55439OK, then your best path forward is to purchase the FloBLE Plus, which is basically a bundle of the ACR1255U-J1 and the Flomio SDK. Once you have that in hand, then we can walk you through building a simple Android app that meets your needs.
May 9, 2016 at 11:11 am #55440Thanks Richard, will message you when I have them in my hands!
Shall I message on here or through email?
May 9, 2016 at 11:42 am #55441Here is fine… please leave product feedback if you’re so inclined. It helps us greatly to build customer trust quickly.
thanks,
