Hi,
We are using Basic SDK 1.9 with FloJackBZR reader, we are trying to read nfc tags with the provided sdk. But we are unable to read the tags as the sdk gives an error as “The device is not licensed. https://flomio.com/flojack/#getting_device_id”
We have received your test app and with that app we are able to read nfc tags, but facing issues when we use SDK 1.9
We have found this contact number of yours Tel: 954-553-6227, can we have a quick call regarding the issue that we are facing.
April 21, 2016 at 7:34 am #55229Hey Hardy, this issue is well understood and may be a function of what you’ve purchased. Can you send me your original Flomio order number? It doesn’t seem you have any purchases associated with your account.

RichardApril 21, 2016 at 7:48 am #55231Hi Richard,
Many thanks for your prompt response.
Here is the order number that we have received #54684, this was ordered by my colleague Ian from Eagle View Solutions. If you want we can have communication via his account.
Let me know your thoughts and kindly guide us towards resolving the issue.
April 21, 2016 at 8:25 am #55232Thanks Hardy, that explains the issue. As one of the first orders for the BZR, we shipped yours out without getting it’s deviceID (we hadn’t gotten the provisioning SW done by then). So I basically just need your deviceID in order to add it to our license server. You can retrieve this information with the Flomio Test App. Just scan any tag with the BZR connected and send me the deviceID string that’s listed after the tag UUID.

Here are the details:
Device ID: C16C5B080100049DLet us know when the you complete the process at your end, we will test the sdk and confirm the same to you.
April 21, 2016 at 8:53 am #55234Done… check to see is that fixed the problem.
April 21, 2016 at 10:26 am #55235Hi Richard,
Thanks for your help.
We have tested sdk and now it works absolutely fine.
Can you please confirm if the other reader (Order no: 55128) that we have purchased is already included in cloud database.
April 21, 2016 at 10:29 am #55236Yeah, order 55128 was covered by our provisioning process so should work out of the box.
April 21, 2016 at 10:35 am #55237Brilliant Thanks a lot.
Cheers….
January 31, 2017 at 8:03 pm #58461Hi Richard,
My company ordered 10 ACR1255U-J1 bluetooth readers. I’ve updated the firmware to 1.16.03 but it gave the “The device is not licensed” error. Since it’s a BLE device, I’m not sure how to get the device ID for these devices to send it to you. The order number is 58302. Is it something you can fix at your end or is there a particular way to get the device ID for BLE devices?
Cheers.
January 31, 2017 at 9:48 pm #58462Hey Malik, the problem is that the Flomio SDK is not included with the ACR1255U-J1 purchase. I told Roy, your CEO, that you would need the Flomio SDK for the application you had built but he seemed to think otherwise. You can purchase the Flomio SDK (basic) license here and I can then walk you through getting the device IDs off each unit you have to enable their licenses to work. You’ll basically use the Flomio Test App to copy/paste the device ID with pattern “RR330-XXXXXX” for me to register on our license server for you.

RichardJanuary 31, 2017 at 9:53 pm #58463My understanding was that the Flomio Basic SDK license was shipped along with the purchase of Flomio devices. Since we have already bought a few of Flomio devices, do we need to purchase the license again for these devices?
January 31, 2017 at 11:11 pm #58464Could you please elaborate on that?
February 1, 2017 at 8:08 am #58468Hi Malik, the Flomio SDK is licensed on a per reader basis. So for every device you’re intending to use with the Flomio SDK you will have to purchase a license for it. Currently licenses are sold on a one-time-purchase basis but we are working to introduce a subscription model that will allow us to reduce the startup cost significantly. This shift will allow us to more dependably support customers like yourself and continue to grow the SDK features that will make your applications more valuable.

RichardFebruary 6, 2017 at 7:33 am #58507Hi Richard,
My company just bought the basic license. Could you please guide me in regards to acquiring the device ID and sending it to you for registering?
Cheers
February 6, 2017 at 10:06 am #58508Hi Malik, you can use the Flomio Test app to connect to the readers you’d like to register and then tap the reader in the connected device list to get the reader details. Then click the “Register this device” link on the details screen in order to automatically send us an email with the required information. The device ID has the pattern “RR330-XXXXXX” and it’s all we need to register your unit on our license server thereby enabling Flomio SDK support.
Your company purchased 10 licenses, so you would have to repeat this procedure for each reader to get us all the device IDs.

RichardFebruary 6, 2017 at 7:44 pm #58510Hi Richard,
I don’t have access to Flomio Test App on TestFlight anymore. Could you please add the apple Id so that I can get the device IDs to you?
Cheers
February 6, 2017 at 7:49 pm #58511Done. I’ve also removed your email from the above post so you don’t run the risk of getting spammed.
best,
RichardFebruary 6, 2017 at 7:54 pm #58512Thanks. I’m still waiting for the invitation to come through. Once I have it, I’ll send through the device IDs. Can you just make sure that there is no ‘e’ in proactiv.
Cheers
February 6, 2017 at 8:01 pm #58513I still haven’t received the email from iTunes. Can you try another please?
February 6, 2017 at 8:03 pm #58514Done. Removed last email as well.

RichardFebruary 6, 2017 at 8:10 pm #58515Thanks for that. Still no invite from iTunes. A quick search on stack overflow and apple dev forums showed that it’s a common bug. You might want to try setting the build to ‘Not available for testing’ and then Start testing again. Kind of like turning a machine off and back on again 🙂
February 6, 2017 at 8:28 pm #58516Hi Richard,
The iTunes invite is still on hold. I was able to get the device IDs by connecting my app to Xcode and looking at the console output for each device. I later realised that the device ID was also mentioned on the stickers of the device packaging under serial number haha. Anyways, mentioned below are the device IDs for the 10 devices. Please let me know when they have been added to the server.
RR330-001118
RR330-001044
RR330-001121
RR330-001056
RR330-001167
RR330-001112
RR330-001122
RR330-001054
RR330-001120
RR330-001041February 6, 2017 at 8:52 pm #58517Hey Malik, I reset the iTunes like you indicated. I hope that gets the invites out to you. Either way, I was able to add your device IDs to the license server. Let me know if you’re still getting an error when instantiating the Flomio SDK.

RichardFebruary 6, 2017 at 8:55 pm #58518Hey Richard,
I just received the iTunes invite. I’ve also tested one of the devices and it connects now. Thanks for that.
