Hey Mike, unfortunately not. We’ve been able to get something like that working on Android many years ago but on Apple this approach requires MFi certification. MFi stands for Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod and it’s a certification that besides being rigorous (read: expensive) it requires an 30/70 revenue split of hardware sales. This would break our current product pricing model.
What sort of connectivity issues are you experiencing in the field? Is it only when needing to swap out readers that have run out of battery or during normal operation as well?
