Hello everyone,
we’re currently evaluating RFID readers that would work with an iPad Air in conjunction with MiFare Cards. The FloBLE so far seems like a good reader for that kind of scenario.
One question however that we could so far not find an answer to, was wether or not the FloBLE with your SDK would allow reading encrypted sectors.
Is that something that is currently supported/on the roadmap during the next few months/possible using the hardware when using the driver directly instead of the SDK or something you’d need to use a different product for entirely?
Best regards,
Oliver
Hi Oliver, the Flomio SDK supports an APDU interface which allows you to send custom commands to any MiFare card. You will need to do a bit of research on the particular MiFare card you are using to know what the sequence of commands must be in order to access encrypted sectors of such cards. We are glad to help you with the task of scripting out the read encrypted data blocks process on this forum. Just let us know.
best,
Richard
Hi Richard, thank you for the quick reply. It’s very helpful for the evaluation process. I’ll likely be back when the time comes to actually get it to work.
Best regards
