Tagged: FloBLE Plus, Flomio SDK
Hello,
Im working with one of my customers who is trying to use your readers to read NFC tags off their machines. I wanted to test the product myself before she got her hands on it to make sure everything runs smoothly. She forwarded over some emails about the SDK and new mobile app for iOS but it now says i need to be invited in order to use it. So im just curious who i speak to about getting invited to this. Thanks.
Hi Anthony, the FloBLE Plus comes along with a Flomio SDK which you can download from here:

Inside you’ll find a iOS/Readme.md file with instructions on how to build a simple application that let’s you read NFC tags. We have this same sample application available via TestFlight if you rather just try something already built to begin with. I have shared that app to your email address on file.
best,
Richard
Thank you for the response. So now i have a question about the product. Once the reader is active does it only read tags when the app is open (one i create or yours)? Or if i have another application that reads NFC tags can this application simply use your hardware to read it?
Our FloBLE readers do need an App to operate with iOS and Android host devices. However, these apps can be running in the background. So you’ll need to create an app or just incorporate the Flomio SDK into a current app that you have in place. With the Flomio SDK you can create a hybrid app that reads NFC tags from both the native Android NFC hardware as well as from our readers. We have been working on releasing that feature in the coming months. As another option you could simply keep the Flomio SDK based app running in the background and setup inter-app messaging to get the NFC tag scans over to any app of your choice.
There’s many ways you can go about your integration. Glad to help where needed.
best,
Richard
