Tagged: FloBLE Plus, tags, Test App
Hello,
I’m trying to demo NFC capabilities with a basic proof-of-concept app that scans NFC tags and displays their UUIDs on an iPhone screen. However, I have not been able to find a single tag compatible with the FloBLE plus. I’ve tried various credit cards, transportation cards (specifically San Diego Compass cards and Charlie cards). Using a free Android scanner app, I’ve been able to scan all of these items.
Is it a coincidence that the FloBLE plus is not able to scan any of these, or could my device be defective? Otherwise do you have any suggestions on tags I could use that may be in the appropriate frequency range?
Thanks,
Matt
Hi Matt, your device is unlikely to be defective as our failure rates with field units is under 1%. The issue is more likely that the app you’re using to scan or the cards you’re scanning are not compatible. Are you using “Flomio Test” app from TestFlight?? I would suggest purchasing Mifare Ultralight or NTAG213 tags. We sell these on our store.
best,
Richard
