Hi can you tell me if the Flojack on a android phone will read an animal implanted microchip
Hi, our FloJack products are not recommended to work with Android. We recommend our FloBLE line of products for that. Animal tags come in many different technology flavors and our FloBLE products are only compatible with a subset of them. For instance, they can be Low Frequency (125kHz), High Frequency (13.56MHz) or Ultra High Frequency (800-900MHz). Our FloBLE readers are only compatible with High Frequency tags. Of the HF tags, we only support software for ISO1443A, ISO14443B, and ISO15693 protocols. Do you know which type of implanted microchips you need to read?
best,
Richard
The ISO would be ISO 11784/1178 so I guess these wouldn’t work

I want to be able to scan any animal with any implanted microchip in the UK. I am aware that most microchips are 134.2 kHz. I only want to be able to read the microchip number and do not need to interact with the software if this makes sense
Regards
Julie
Yeah, the FloJack does not support Low Frequency tags (134.2kHz). I would recommend that you checkout the ID Champ reader from SerialIO.
best,
Richard
