Tagged: FloJack, Flomio SDK
Hi,
My order was placed on October 24. When it will be shipped?
Also please, I’m little bit confused about all this stories about FloJack v1 and v2… Is the FloJack I’ve ordered v2? As I understood the v2 is a workable one?
Thanks.
Bosko
Hey Bosko, your order was shipped but it seems like our Order Confirmation emails aren’t getting sent out to customers (a bug we’re sorting out still). Here’s your tracking info:

The FloJack v1 and v2 are entirely different products. The FloJack v1 was developed internally at Flomio for the Kickstarter campaign in 2012. After dealing with issues supporting the many mobile operating systems we abandoned this project for the FloBLE. June of 2014 we were approached by Advanced Card Systems to carry their newest reader the ACR35. We agreed to rebrand it FloJack with the understanding that we would build out the software stack similar to what we offered with the FloJack v1. This included connect/disconnect management, audio routed alerts, NDEF parsing, read/write data blocks, authentication routines, etc. These features are crucial to allowing the reader to perform the way an Android NFC enabled phone would.
You’ve ordered a FloJack v2 since we don’t explicitly sell FloJack v1’s any more. Both are workable pieces of hardware but only v2 has an operational driver for iOS8. The FloJack v2 and the ACR35 are hardware equivalent devices, but the FloJack v2 carries the Flomio private keys in order to enable operation of the soon to be released Flomio SDK. We estimate the Flomio SDK will be available in early December, 2014.
