Are there currently any Flomio product that supports write to tag?
Is there a timeline for NFC kiosk to be available?
Hi Mike, currently all of our readers support writing tags, the issue is our Flomio SDK does not formally support it. I say “formally” because we have customers that have used our SDK to write tags successfully through our APDU interface. Our APDU interface follows the ISO7816 specification so as long as you send the right command to the NFC tag placed in the field of the reader, you can properly write the tag yourself. The catch is you need to learn the ISO7816 spec and know what tags you’re trying to write. You need to check for read only conditions, memory space limitations, add terminator and delimiters to you data, etc. If you and your dev team want to take this on, we can help. Just post what data you’re trying to write, what tags you’re targeting to use, and the format you’d like that data to be stored in.
RE: NFC Kiosk, we took that product down after learning a ton from deploying it at events. We will bring it back once we’ve gotten our hardware stack in place. More details about that on this thread. Feel free to answer similar questions posted there and we can prioritize it’s re-release based on how well your goals match with ours.
best,
Richard
