Hi, FloVAS Desk : Tabletop NFC Pass Scanner just arrived today, but it’s not clear how to configure and use it, docs are non-existent for this topic. Can I have support please?

March 17, 2021 at 10:06 am #103653Hi Stefano, sorry for missing your earlier messages. Seems our site notifications stopped working and we overlooked your latest messages. To configure the FloVAS Desk, you need to plug in the unit via USB to a PC and open the mounted drive labeled “VTAP100”. Within it you will find a “config.txt” file where you can enter your passTypeId (Apple) and collectorId (Google) along with the private keys for each. Have you created your passes with PassNinja or using your own software?

RichardMarch 17, 2021 at 1:06 pm #103655Hi Richard, thank you for the response. I’ve generated the pass via https://github.com/flexible-agency/php-pkpass and I added to my Wallet. I’ve changed the passTypeId in config.txt, but wich key should I put? How I generate the private key?
Another question: what about logging? How I get results from the scan?
Thanks
March 18, 2021 at 10:40 am #103658I’ve created a file from the pass creation script, put it as “private2.pem” and set VAS1KeySlot=2 in config file, but after “rebooting” (unplug and plug the usb), the file is not deleted. The scanner doesn’t log anything, and Log and Boot files modified date remains set to 1/1970.
Please help
March 20, 2021 at 2:44 pm #103664@Stefano, I think the problem is that you’re not creating an NFC enabled pass. Do you have the NFC “message” and “encryptionPublicKey” keys set?? Have you signed your bundle with an NFC entitlement??

RichardMarch 21, 2021 at 12:11 pm #103667Hi Richard, yes I have an nfc enabled pass, in fact I finally managed to create a valid .pkpass, the reader is able to select it correctly, so far so good.
The thing I still cannot do is setting the privateX.pem private key, after rebooting the reader does not delete it (so it’s not valid, as config.txt says). I’ve created it with:
openssl pkcs12 -in Certificate.p12 -nocerts -out private2.pem
where “Certificate.p12” is of course the nfc certificate exported from my keychain. What I’m doing wrong?
The reader it’s not logging anything (it’s beacause the private key is not set?).
Thanks,

March 31, 2021 at 6:43 am #103693HI Stefano, the issue may be one of several things. I have created a sample pass here that you can test with (link expires in 24hrs). The passTypeId should be set to pass.com.passninja.whatup.bridge and I emailed you the corresponding *.pem file.
Pass Serial Number: 50fc4739-eab0-42a4-9ff3-a165b1c03f2e
