GEMA NFC Tags

I have a couple questions about these tags.

1) Can I get a little more information on how it works? It says it uses the Flomio Cloud…is it required to use that service? Or can each button be programmed individually and launch URLs/issues commands without the cloud service (basically, if we are working on an internal network with no outside access can we still use these)
2) Where can we get a template for the printing design to customize for our needs?
3) What is the storage size for each button/tag?

Hi Mike, the GemaTouch tags are like any ordinary tags with the added benefit that you can enable the tag by way of a capacitive button.  By putting several tags tied to one antenna coil, GemaTouch has innovated the idea of an NFC keyboard or joystick.  So just normal tags with a clever method of activating them.

Some direct answers to your questions:

1. It’s not required to use the Flomio Cloud to work with the Gema tags.  You can program each individual button with a different URL/command of your own.  This will definitely work with your internal network as it would with the Flomio Cloud.  Our offering is purely optional.
2. I’ll check with GemaTouch to see if they have something available.
3. The GemaTags we have in stock are 64B each.  That means that the 5 buttons combined on one super tag is 5×64 = 320bytes.

Mike, thanks for the questions and Richard, thanks for the quick response. In response to Q2. yes we issue current printing templates to all paying customers who need it. No problem.
