How is the app supposed to work? All I get is a blank screen with the “settings” icon at the bottom .. nothing happens when I try to scan a tag.
The Flomio SDK app is meant to be very simple even though all the SDK services are supported. The main window is the Log Window which will show all the data being exchanged across the NFC interface. In order to get the FloJack or ACR35 to scan you first need to make sure the Green LED on the top left corner of the device is ON. If the LED does not turn on when you launch the Flomio SDK app then there may be an issue with your audio jack connection or perhaps the device has discharged.
It may not be apparent but these reader devices need to be recharged every 12 hours of use since they don’t draw power from the audio jack connector. Try plugging and unplugging the reader device a few times with the Flomio SDK app in the foreground to attempt to get the Green LED to turn ON. If you’re able to get the LED to turn on but are still having trouble scanning tags, then the audio pathway internal to your device might be the issue. This can be because you have the audio jack volume too low (need to be at max) or another app running in the background that is holding the audio pathway hostage. To release this control, kill all apps running in the background by double tapping the HOME button and swiping them up (or down). You can also accomplish this same result by resetting your iOS device entirely (press and hold power button and slide to power off).
Did that resolve to problems?
Wasn’t really monitoring the green light.
Charged for a while and got it to work.
Thanks.
