Hello,
as a Provider of Electronic products we are useing NFC Share function (http-Adesss Sharing from Mobile phone to mobile phone via NFC) to represent device data on a mobile phone. Unfortunately IPhone has not this function, so I hoped that Flomio my privide a solution.
I got my device yesterday, but I did not find a way to do this after some testing. Can you help me? Do I Need to install a app?
July 28, 2016 at 7:20 am #56085Hi Josef, I just sent you an invite to our app that we use internally for testing. I hope that provides some insight as to the capability of our readers and the Flomio SDK.
best,
RichardJuly 28, 2016 at 9:44 am #56087o.k. I successfully installed you test app and it is running. But it does not give me any hint what to do to solve my Problem. I only see that the flomio detects the device and I get the Device-ID but I do not get data.
What I want to do.

Or device (NFC enabled embedded device, no mobile phone) is sending a http adress and I want to open this on my Iphone. You can try this function yourself, if you open the following Adress in the browser of one (Android or Blackberry) mobile device and put another device back to back with this first device. The second device should be a IPhone with flomio.

Please check if and how this would work.
The process works excellent with NFC enabled Android an NFC enabled Blackberry devices.Regards, Josef Göppert
July 28, 2016 at 11:49 am #56089Hi Josef,
The problem here is that the SDK currently only supported reading NDEF from Mifare Ultralight and NFC Forum Type 4 tags. I can add support to read NDEF from NFC enabled phones but it will likely be delayed as I am waiting on my NFC enabled Android to be repaired. Do you mind waiting a couple of weeks for us to add this?
Cheers,
ScottJuly 29, 2016 at 10:12 am #56100Hi Scott,
let me explain our Situation:
We introduced NFC 3 years ago in our product in the expectation that apple NFC will be available in short notice. This did not happen. We have now the Problem that the majority of our customers, dealers and external sales personal use non NFC enabled mobile devices and the method cannot really be used in practice.
Flomio would be a way to solve this issue. I suppose, the flomio Hardware is capable to do so, but we Need an App.
If flomio has such a function I would see the opportinity for 20-40 Units in a first round (own technical Support employees) and 100-200 Units in a second round (dealer technical sales employees).
Do you see an opportunity to implement this?
On which time scale? A couple of weeks for a test app would really be great?
May it be a Option to deveop a Lorch-Specific App in our corporate Identity?Does it make sens to get in touch with your responsible R&D persons?
Have a Skype call?Regards,

Hi, how are you. I am available for a skype call. I will send you an email with my details so we can coordinate the call.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thanks,
Daniel
July 29, 2016 at 12:15 pm #56103Thanks for your explanation and thanks for considering Flomio. Do you know what type of tag you are using to store the URL? If you could share a specifications sheet that would be great. You can email it to info@flomio.com.
Each phone which intends on reading the URL would need to use a dedicated FloBLE Plus. You would need to integrate the SDK into an app yourself, but we provide a Test App and instructions to build it yourself. There would be additional costs to use our engineers to build a Lorch-Specific app.
Kind Regards,
ScottAugust 1, 2016 at 7:07 am #56117Hi Scott,
sorry for Friday, but I quit work in the early afternoon, so I did not see your Messages and your Skype ID.
I very much like your attitude and your readiness to solve our Problem.
For next steps I have 2 proposals:1) I will bring you in contact with our SW Engineer who developped the stack on our side, so that you can check Details about the implementation.
2) I will provide to you a Test Hardware of our device. This Hardware contains the user Interface and the main control Board and it contains all functions required for testing the NFC Function.
With this in mind, it may take 1-2 weeks until you have all Information and Hardware for starting App development, but I am sure that in this case you have a much clearer Picture how the solution works.
Can you please provide your Email adress. I think that this may make communication easier.
Regards,
Josef Göppert
