It seems there are some limitations on iOS and a big difference between the possibilities that the Android app offers.
It seems the ios app cannot open another apps with NFC.
So are NFC cloud stickers useless for ios nad only for android usage?
Will Quick NFC stickers work on ios?
Hi Nicolas, the iOS environment is much more restrictive than Android’s. iOS doesn’t allow for most apps to be launched remotely or to control wireless settings like Bluetooth and Wifi (for pairing purposes, for instance). Quick and Cloud tags are still useful, however. Most applications that users look to achieve have to do with launching a web site, installing an app, providing map directions, watching a YouTube video, etc. All these can be accomplished with Quick and Cloud tags.
As a note, I will say that the Cloud Action feature is not available yet on our NFC Actions app for iOS. It’s only available on NFC Actions for Android at the moment.
thanks,
Richard and the Flomies.
Will cloud action be a possibility for ios in the future?
We have Cloud Actions as a feature enhancement on our NFC Actions app but it’s not high on our priority list since it’s a free service. Right now we’re focused on delivering the most valuable features that can bring disruptive value to the NFC ecosystem. How do you see Cloud Actions doing that?
