I have an iCarte NFC device for my iPhone. I’d really like to use the NFC actions application with it. I assume this is not possible until someone writes an interface for the iCarte.
Does the architecture of the iOS SDK support plug in of other NFC devices?
I would be happy to pay $ for this functionality.
Hi Andrew, indeed the iCarte hardware would have to be integrated into the NFC Actions application. iCarte charges in the ballpark of $2000 for their SDK so we would need to offset that cost. Judging from this post I found online, it’s a concern as to how well documented their SDK is so there might be some work there as well.
Ultimately, the FloJack is an inexpensive option if you care to consider it. Our SDK is open source and already integrated into our published iOS NFC Actions application. We will be coming out with more software titles this summer. I’m not sure what your use case is, but if you’re not leveraging the secure element in the iCarte device I think you’ll save some money by going with the FloJack.
