Hi Flomio team,
I placed order #1399 was placed on January 18, 2013. It shows as still being on hold and I haven’t had a status in months. Will I receive my order or my money back?
Thanks,
JoeSeptember 24, 2014 at 9:11 pm #17476Hi, we shipped out many Flojacks last year to find that customers were not satisfied with no iOS7+ support. More about that here. We started working on an new version reader called the FloBLE replaces the audio jack with Bluetooth Low Energy. More on that here. We were planning to ship FloBLEs to all our preorder customers of the FloJack but still have not finished the development.
If you rather the FloJack now than wait let us know and we’ll ship it out immediately.
thanks,
RichardApril 15, 2015 at 2:23 pm #52646Hi Richard,
Its been another 7 months so checking back on this. Are you still working on the FloBLE? When should I expect a shipment?
Thanks,
JoeApril 20, 2015 at 6:29 pm #52679Hi Joe, we are still working on the FloBLE but our biggest roadblock is getting a large enough order to cover the costs of manufacturing. Currently we’re scouting for a 5000 unit order from our enterprise customers. While we wait we continue to show and sell prototype units for early adopters to check if it works for them.
You can opt for a FloJack v2 instead of waiting for FloBLE. Just let us know and we’ll promote your order to Processing.
April 20, 2015 at 7:18 pm #52683Hi Richard,
Thanks for the feedback. Is there anyway I can just get a development kit of the FloBLE instead? My company is doing development work for companies and is in a couple of start-up incubators as well. We may be able to gain some exposure for you with one of our clients, partnerships or products as well. You can see some of our work here:
April 29, 2015 at 4:57 am #52731Hi Joe, the FloBLE development prototypes are $1000 each and can be ordered here. This MSRP for FloBLE is $59.99 but we need to get the economies of scaled production to achieve that price point. The prototypes are built by hand and so they are priced accordingly.
I looked over your showcase of applications. Pretty awesome! We’re tight on cash so need to focus on growing our sales pipeline. We would definitely appreciate any exposure you can send our way. Thanks for the support.
March 14, 2016 at 11:58 am #54764Hi, it’s another year later so checking back on my order from 2013. Can you let me know the status?
March 14, 2016 at 12:03 pm #54765Actually I’m not sure what I should be receiving now. Will I receive the FloBLE Plus instead? Will the wristbands and inlays I ordered work with that? Please let me know.
March 15, 2016 at 10:11 pm #54782Hi I’ve upgraded your order to a FloBLE Plus. I’ve also move it to Processing. It will be fulfilled within the next 3 days. Make sure your address is current on your account. If it isn’t, please let us know ASAP by emailing info at flomio dot com.
thanks,
RichardMarch 16, 2016 at 8:35 am #54790Great…thanks Richard. The address is fine so I look forward to receiving it soon!
April 14, 2016 at 9:04 am #55130Hi Richard,
Thanks again for getting the FloBLE Plus to me. I have it now and am ready to test it out. However I did not see an instructions that came with it or even a getting started section on the site. Can you let refer me to details on how to get started? The wristbands say to go to register.flomio.com but that just shows a blank page for me.
thanks!
joeApril 14, 2016 at 4:12 pm #55132Hey Joe, it depends what you want to test out. There’s the Flomio SDK the you can download with instructions on building your own app with iOS/Android or there’s a Test App that we can send you over TestFlight (iOS) or via email (Android). The iOS stuff is more mature so that’s what I would recommend starting with. If you want the iOS Test app, send us your Apple ID to info at flomio dot com and I’ll add you to our TestFlight list.
best,
RichardApril 14, 2016 at 4:39 pm #55133Thanks…the iOS app in Testflight sounds good. I’ll went ahead and sent over my Apple ID.
April 14, 2016 at 5:29 pm #55137Sent you a TestFlight invitation… Instructions in running the app:
1) Install the Test app from inside TestFlight app on your iOS device.
2) Launch the app from your springboard.
3) Raise the volume of your device to the max.
4) Choose FloBLE Plus from the menu.
5) Turn on the FloBLE Plus by switching the toggle switch to the “B” position.
6) A Bluetooth Pairing request dialog will pop up on your first use of the FloBLE Plus with the Test app. Enter PIN code 0000 and hit continue.
7) Place an ISO14443A NFC Forum Type 2 tag on the surface of the FloBLE Plus (over the Bluetooth Smart logo)
8) You should witness scan entries posted on the screen and hear an audible sound.best,

April 14, 2016 at 6:12 pm #55140Cool….I actually got it to work before the instructions 🙂 The only confusion was the request for a pairing password but I just left it blank and it worked.
I should be set now…thanks!
