I cannot get this app to find the Bluetooth signal on your device. Please help before I send it back to amazon

Hello, the app is outdated and we haven’t been able to update it yet. What are you trying to do with the reader? Perhaps we can help you some other way.

I bought the acr 1255U-j1
To connect via Bluetooth to both my iPhone 7 Plus and my new palm phone that lacks a nfc reader. I am trying to read and write tags. Any suggestions for apps that will “see” the Bluetooth signal? I know it’s emitting one, but nothing will connect.
