Hi,
I wanted to find out more details about NFC on Glass. We have RFID Cards(MiFare Ultra Lite C) that we want the iPad to read and know who the customer is.
What i am interested in knowing is the below:
1. Can the NFC on glass read MiFare Ultra lite C\1K cards?
2. How do we install the NFC on glass?
3. If we need to open the iPad, does the warranty of the iPad is voided?
4. Can this be installed by your company?
5. Cost of the NFC on Glass?
Thanks,
Samit
Hi Samit, in general NFC on Glass is more a technique than a singular product. In other words, we can build the NFC on Glass experience into any display, though some are easier than others. I’ve included further details in answers below:
1. Can the NFC on glass read MiFare Ultra lite C\1K cards?
A: yeah, the our readers support reading Mifare UL tags, so this would work.
2. How do we install the NFC on glass?
A: you would ship us the units you would like to outfit with the NFC on Glass experience and we would build the hardware integration for you.
3. If we need to open the iPad, does the warranty of the iPad is voided?
A: Yes, the risk of voiding device warranty exists. We have built several integrations across different displays so have experience in doing so.
4. Can this be installed by your company?
A: Definitely. We just need to know the make and model of display that you’re targeting to begin the investigation.
5. Cost of the NFC on Glass?
A: Cost can vary depending on the difficulty of disassembly of the target device. You can let us know here and we can give you a rough estimate and prepare a Statement of Work.
best,
Richard
