NFC Patch Kit availability (backorder)

Hi there,

We were hoping to purchase a couple more NFC Patch kits for some demos we’re lining up in a few weeks time. Do you know how long it might take for these to come back into stock for delivery to the UK?

At the moment the store listing says they’re on “available on backorder”.

Hey Simon, we have been scheduled for production at the moment but still waiting on new stock. We estimate it will take 2-3 weeks from today. What devices are you looking to use the product with?

Hi Richard! We’ll be using them with Nexus 7 (2013) tablets for now. Would that be ~2-3 weeks until they’re available or delivered?

Until we have them in stock. They take anywhere from 3 to 10 days to be delivered to the UK depending on what shipping service you choose, USPS ($36) or FedEx ($120).

A couple more questions…

Can you produce patch kits with shorter cabling? e.g. ~8 inches? Or would you recommend bending the cable to reduce slack? i.e. will that damage the wiring? I’m reluctant to give it a go on the only one we have at the moment!

Our next production batch will have 6″ cables. Nevertheless, you can crimp the longer cable to fit your needs without issue. What you want to avoid is crimping and unfolding multiple times on the same spot because like any metal it will eventually fail.
