Hi Fred, the FloJack BZR powers on once you plug it in to the audio jack. You should get a beep and red LED blink. Then the Flomio Test app will detect it (after selecting FloJack BZR) from launch menu and list it’s device id at the top of the screen. Scanning tags should list the tag’s unique identified in the log window. Depending on your configure scan frequency (configurable in the Settings screen), it can take over a second for a tag to be detected by the reader so be patient.
If the reader is listed on the top of the Flomio Test app but not actually detecting any tags, then there may be an issue with the tags you are using. The Flomio SDK on supports a subset of all NFC tags sold on the market and you’ll need to check the specs to make sure that’s not the issue. Another thing to check is that the volume on your phone is raised all the way up.
