Hey Andrew, I checked those reader numbers and they are already registered to your account. What version of the Flomio SDK are you using?? The latest is v2.3.1 and available here. We have moved our license server so if you’re using an old version of the Flomio SDK, I would recommend upgrading to see if that fixes the problem. It’s a simple drop in replacement so shouldn’t be too bad.

I am using the Flomio SDK v2.2 and here is the results with the device I have the works and the ones you are telling me are registered but don’t work. How can it possibly be that going up a minor revision completely breaks the most basic functionality of verifying the license? Can you please send me a link to a sample app that uses the latest v2.3.1 flomio sdk so I can test these devices? Thanks.

Hi Andrew, yes the new version of the SDK v2.3.1 fixes the incompatibility with latest stock firmware v1.17.00. This is a natural side effect of a multi-part system that’s still evolving. It’s best to always move to the latest versions of everything.

Hey Richard,

I have just downgraded the devices to firmware 1.16.03 instead of upgrading to your latest SDK so I don’t have to change our code that is already in production. This was a solution you recommended to another customer in another forum post (https://flomio.com/forums/topic/register-devices-2/#post-61664). In my tests I get the following response: “The device is not licensed.” I believe you need to register my devices with the old server using the the 2.2 version of the SDK instead of the 2.3 version for which you registered them with. Again, here are my devices to register, thank you!

Hi Andrew, the approach of downgrading to FMV1.16.03 is no longer recommended since we will no longer be supporting SDKv2.2 going forward. SDKv2.2 uses our old license server that we will be taking offline at the end of the year. SDKv2.3 uses a new license server that is better suited for our business to operate. Nevertheless, I have added your devices to the old license server so you can at least prove out your solution in the short term. Just be aware that as of January 1st, 2018 the SDKv2.2 license server will be shut down. If you insist in wanting to stay on SDKv2.2, then you can pay us $40/month and we can keep the old license server up for you.
