Hi everyone – I run a dev shop and we’re working on a product to track tools going in and out of a working area.
What is the best way to go about this? This is how I envision it:
1) put an nfc sticker on each tool i want to track
2) put a reader? ipad? at an entrance door that tracks the sticker.
Does this work automatically? Apologies for the bad articulation of the question, hoping to get a big educated around this from you all.
Best
Alex
Hi Alex, yeah it can work just as you’ve described it. You’ll have to go through the process of labeling the tools and forcing those the take/return the tools to scan them on the reader during entry/exit. I would recommend the FloVAS reader for this. It connects directly to the iPad via USB. More details here.
best,
Richard
