Hello Flomio forums,
I’m Nic, i have an android tablet without nfc, i bought the ACR1255U-J1 thinking it could work with all the NFC apps on the play store.. but i just discovered that it’s not possible 🙁 my mistake..
The ACS demo apps are working, also the “NFC scanner” app by sinfotech.
What i’m looking for now is an android app for ACR1255U-J1 wich for each nfc tag presented opens urls on android, specifically with those functionalities:1. Read the small NFC stickers like the one provided with the ACR1255U-J1
2. Define/edit/delete URLs to be opened on Android for each new sticker UID (Kinda like the app NFC Retag does)
3. Define a default ACR1255U-J1 to use. and when the app is started automatically reconnect to it, reconnect it asap, even if the default ACR1255U-J1 got disconnected for some other reason.
4. Keep scanning for nfc tags, and when a known tag uid is recognized open its url in the android default browser.
5. Ability to do this previous task continuously in background. How much could the making of this app cost? spoiler! my budget is not so much.
I hope someone already have developed an Android app for ACR1255U-J1
that could be adapted to fit those functionailies. i’m open to offers and suggestions, but i’m not good at coding.
Please let me know, NicolaFebruary 7, 2017 at 7:42 pm #58523Nevermind, i’m working it out myself with the samplecode app and some help from a dev.
February 8, 2017 at 12:02 pm #58529Hello Nic, we currently have a Test app that allows us to test out the functionality of all the readers we sell. It doesn’t have all the functions you requested but we are in the progressively adding them in. You can download the latest beta version of the Test app from Google Play here.
Test it out with your FloBLE Plus (ACR1255U-J1) and let us know if you have any issues. The app is useful to create the URL parsing sequences you will need for the functionality you’re seeking. Once you have your sequences set, then coding it with you dev using the Flomio SDK is pretty straight forward.
best,
Richard -
