Hi Richard,
We are currently developing a small iOS app for a kFlojackMsr. We’re getting the message “2017-05-25 11:16:24.117231-0400 FlomioDemo[660:336751] Reader 0x100715180 check license”.
Can you please help out with this? We are Mirum, a vendor of CelebrityCruise. Here is the data of the order where devices were purchased:
SKU FLO10003
Order# 59787

SDK PRO LICENSE
FLO12902 / 59903We bought a Flomio device and then found out it doesn’t seem to include an SDK license. It does say it includes SDK but there’s no reference about where to download it.
We reached out to support by email, phone, and the forum and have no response.
So we went ahead and bought an SDK Pro license.
After paying, I receive this email about tracking the delivery, which makes no sense since it should be a download..
What are we supposed to do now? How can we reach support?
May 25, 2017 at 4:55 pm #59909@Jhonny, can you send me your FloJack MSR device ID as listed in the console output within Xcode?? I sent you an invite to our Flomio MW app that will allow you to test out the basic functionality of the reader as well as get the device ID from your unit. Send me that.

RichardMay 26, 2017 at 9:39 am #59912This is what XCode console shows when our app runs:
Created reader 0x10050cad0 Reader 0x10050cad0 check license Reader 0x10050cad0 reset
An also shows…

Not sure if reader ID is in that output? If not, can you tell us how to get it?
Thanks,
Jhony M.May 26, 2017 at 11:18 am #59918Jhony, you can get the device ID of your unit with the Flomio MW app that I shared with you via TestFlight. Alternatively, you can follow these instructions to get the device ID of your FloJack MSR.

RichardMay 26, 2017 at 11:35 am #59919The you go…
Please register this Flomio Device:

My order number is:

Thanks,
Jhony M.May 26, 2017 at 11:40 am #59920Something is not right since that device is registered. Are you attempting to use the SDK offline?? you’ll need to upgrade to Pro version for that.
best,
RichardMay 26, 2017 at 11:42 am #59921Richard, 2 things:
1. We are not offline
2. We anyways have the SDK PRO version because final app will be offline.May 26, 2017 at 11:48 am #59922Hmm.. are you building the Pro SDK into your app then?? because the Pro SDK will not ask for device ID registration or give the error you posted. Did you download the Pro SDK from the email sent to you after your purchase?
best,
RichardMay 26, 2017 at 11:54 am #59924We provided de DEVICE ID by using the Testflight App, assuming you needed it.
May 26, 2017 at 12:03 pm #59925Hi Johnny,
Some quick tests to try fix the problem. For the Flojack MSR, the volume needs to be up full and it needs to have full battery. I have just tested the SDK v2.2 pro that you received and it’s working fine. Have you tried the Test Flight App with your device?
Kind Regards,

May 26, 2017 at 12:26 pm #59927Yes, volume is 100%, testflight app works but not consistently. It has read cards a couple of times, but not all the time.. It does initialize and display a message “32DE….724 – Battery 100% – Scanning”
May 26, 2017 at 12:27 pm #59928But still want to know why SDK displays message on console “Check license”
May 26, 2017 at 12:31 pm #59929The stall at Check License message basically means that the reader is not responding to the request for its device uuid. A potential fix would be to unplug the reader and plug it back in, obviously not ideal but there can be issues with the reader driver responding due to a lack of power. Wait for the light to turn off before plugging back in.
Is the green light turning on?

May 26, 2017 at 1:31 pm #59932Yes, the green light is on, and we did try plugging/ unplugging, the message shows up again.
May 26, 2017 at 5:43 pm #59934Hi Reinaldo, it’s worth mentioning that the audio interface is easily the worst way to exchange data with mobile phones. We’ve documented this extensively throughout the years and have spent countless hours supporting customers to get their integrations to work well. If you need something more dependable and mission critical on mobile, I would recommend our FloBLE line of readers. They use Bluetooth instead of audio jack and since Bluetooth is a standardized interface it’s much more stable.

RichardMay 30, 2017 at 3:34 pm #59961Hi Richard,
As I mentioned earlier, we’re buying 2 bluetooth devices today so we can finish a proof of concept app for our client.
We’d appreciate any support you can provide us to get it running.
Thanks
