I have looked “Flojack iOS7 vs iOS6” video in BLOG page.
I think that the problem is DC characteristics of iOS7 audio port.
Then I have a question about Flojack data transport.
How type modulation method Flojack use ?
Tone burst modulation (ex. tone ON = 1, no tone = 0) ?
Frequency Modulation (FM) ?
If Flojack use FM, DC characteristics of iOS7 is no problem, I think.
Katsunori, as indicated by our FloJack device specification, we use DC Manchester encoded UART modulation. This choice was because of its low power qualities. FM is definitely more immune to decoding issues but it would impact our battery life on the FloJack. Also it would require developing the interface to integrate the new data exchange approach with the firmware and SDK.
At this time, we don’t have enough resources to support such an effort but we can provide you with some guidance if you want to take on the challenge.
