Hi there
I received a few of these ACR1255-J1 units from a client for a project. Im struggling a little with the SDK from the ACS website and I’m looking at other options out there. So I found you guys and your SDK. The price for the SDK is fine with me, however I’m a little confused. I downloaded the Flomiotestapp.apk from a link on your site and I cant understand how to find and connect to my reader.
Ive read through a few of the forum posts and I’m not really understanding how to connect to the unit and test to see if it works.
Can you help me out here?
Hi Steve, our Android support is still a little weak but with the help of community members like yourself we are getting better. We have an updated release coming out later this week or early next week that will be much cleaner and easier to understand. In the meantime, did you follow the instructions in the README.md
file? Where did you get stuck?
best,
Richard
Hi there
So I’m using the APK file that was in the SDK folder. I have a few readers and none of them are reading through the app.
Well only 1 reader worked out of the 5 I have, Im not sure what the error could be here.
I could only get one of the readers to connect to the sample app out of about 5, and I’m not sure what the issue is. I wanted to find this out first before we dived into the SDK
Hi Steve, the Test App is only capable of connecting to 1 reader at a time. Are you attempting to connect several? Be sure to turn off all but 1 reader when testing as the Bluetooth connectivity range is large (up to 100m). If you still find that some units are not connecting then the issue might be because your have dated firmware on these units. Our Flomio SDK and Test Application only support the latest firmware v1.16.03. You can follow this guide to check and update the firmware on the units you have.
best,
Richard
