Hi,
We are looking for a solution that allows us to install hardware in a vehicle that gives us the following functionality:

remote lock + unlock
remote start
gps location
API

We would prefer a solution that is fairly non intrusive to install, for e.g. plug into OBD port.

Hi Matt, we’re always interested in helping customers with their projects. You can get free guidance from us on our Forums (as encouragement to buy our products) or contract us out to build what you need for $150/hr.

Getting one of our NFC readers to be powered by the OBD port is pretty straight forward, but you won’t be able to do much in controlling the car if the keys aren’t present. If you’ve figured out how to get the car to respond without the keys then all we would need to know is the CAN bus messages needed to do the functions you listed. It would be then be pretty easy to shovel those commands out from our reader once the properly provisioned NFC card was presented. We’ve built access control solutions like this before.
