Which NFC reader IC

This project looks very interesting to me.
Can you tell me exactly which reader IC is in it and what read range I can expect?

@newpipe, we’re using TI’s TRF7970 as the NFC interface chip in the FloJack.  We use an MSP430F2370 as the microcontroller that manages the TRF and proxies data to/from the audio jack.  Check out more details on the product specifications below:
