I’m burning tags using Android’s NFC Tools to tags with the type:
ISO 14443-3A
NXP MIFARE Ultralight (Ultralights C) – NTAG213
I’m trying to read a URL on a iPad Pro 10.5 inch (iPad Pro 2) using both your sample app and the Flomio 2.2 SDK. Some of the tags read just fine and return the NDEF information (after much re-writing the URL many times) while others only ever return the RAW data. I’ve tried the same thing with the cordova plugin and an app we are working on and it is the exact same.
Can you provide advice on how to get the flomio sdk to return the NDEF data vs the RAW data and tell me why it is so inconsistent in doing so?
Thanks,
Andrew
To add to this mystery, the tags that when read return NDEF data have 142 bytes total while the ones that only return RAW data have 137 bytes total. The tags we have seem to come in as 137 bytes total for 99% of them. That appears to be the only difference.
Hi Andrew,
That is frustrating and is due to a limit on the ndef parser. You may need to limit your tag sizes to be shorter if possible to stay within range of the limited parser.
The latest cordova plugin is able to support larger datasets. I will add you to test NFC Actions beta to see if you notice any difference.
