April 4, 2016 at 11:16 pm #55011Hi, the NFC Actions app has yet to be updated to support our newest readers. I have shared our TestFlight Test application so you can start to validate the use of your BZR reader. Please refer to other support requests on the Forums related to the BZR for you to get the state of it’s software releases.
thanks,
RichardApril 5, 2016 at 1:45 am #55014For the Test application
BZR reader is work(can read the nfc card)
And where I can get the releases application for the newest reader?April 5, 2016 at 3:08 am #55015Hi, the application I shared with you via TestFlight is our latest release. The NFC Actions app is something that we are working on but it’s further out than the Test application development. Since you’re on our TestFlight test list now you will get latest code drops as they become available.

April 19, 2016 at 7:59 am #55188I also can’t get the Flojack to work.
Charged it up, plug it in, no green light and both apps don’t register it.April 19, 2016 at 8:08 am #55189Can you please send invite me to the Test App as I’m having the same problem as the original poster.
ThanksApril 19, 2016 at 9:52 am #55190@Darryl, email your Apple ID to info at flomio dot com and we’ll add you to TestFlight.
April 19, 2016 at 7:54 pm #55206@Richard,
Ok I’ve tried the test app and I still can’t get the BZR to communicate. The green light doesn’t turn on. The unit is fully charged and the headphone vol is max.- This reply was modified 8 years, 8 months ago by Darryl.
April 19, 2016 at 8:58 pm #55208Darryl, the green LED on the BZR device only illuminates when a tag is being read. The Test App and our Flomio SDK only support reading NFC Forum Type 2 tags so be sure to use an NFC tag of this type in your testing. Also, can you please send me details of the iOS device you’re using to test? Model and iOS version will be fine. Also, as a sanity test make sure you can play audio on headphones when connected to your device. If you have the headphones connected when launching the Test App and selecting the FloJack BZR from the launch menu, then you should hear different tones similar to how dial up modems used to sound. Once you’ve gotten that far, the next step is to plug in the BZR and verify that the green icon in the center of the Test App screen turns from Red to Green. If this doesn’t happen, then either your headphone hardware is busted, the volume is not high enough, or the BZR unit is busted. We manually test each unit before shipping them out to customers so I’m leaning towards the first two issues causing the problem. It’s always helpful to do a full power cycle reset on the iOS device to make absolutely sure the audio route on the device isn’t messed up. For instance, if you’re playing music on Spotify while trying to get the BZR to work with the Test App you’ll have issues.
let us know if you’re not able to get things working. If all points to the BZR malfunctioning then we can replace it for you.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus running 9.3.1
I’ve cycled the power and closed all apps.
Checked with headphones and I’m getting the data sounds. Vol is at max.
Still not reading my type 2 tag.April 19, 2016 at 10:03 pm #55210Ok, we haven’t officially tested with an iPhone6+ running 9.3.1 so will have to check on that for you tomorrow to make sure there’s no issue we aren’t aware of there. The other thing to check is difference dimensions of tags. The BZR doesn’t have the most sensitive antenna design so it can have difficulty reader smaller tags (<25mm diameter) and those that are made with less than ideal materials (aluminum inlays vs. copper). The best NFC tags to test with are credit card sized from Smartrac, LadID, or Invengo.
I'll post back tomorrow or the next day once we get a chance to carry out some tests with an iPhone6+.
best,
RichardApril 19, 2016 at 10:06 pm #55211Ok thanks.
The tag I’m using is an xNT implant 13.56MHz ISO14443A & NFC Type 2 NTAG216 RFID chipset.April 20, 2016 at 12:19 am #55214@Darryl, that explains it. The DangerousThings xNT implant that measures 2mm x 12mm?? Yeah, that’s not going to work with the FloJack BZR because it’s antenna design is not tuned for that geometry. The FloJack MSR and the FloBLE Plus are capable of reading these tags. I shot a quick video to give you an idea of performance:
If you’d like to return your BZR, I can get you a refund as long as it’s in it’s original condition. You can then order on of the other readers. Our shipping address is:

April 26, 2016 at 8:01 pm #55278Hi,
I’ve got a FloJack (ACR35-A1) NFC reader, and I’m trying to test it with an Android phone (Nexus 6P). When the reader is connected to the phone through the audio jack, the light on it doesn’t turn on.
I also would like to get the pro SDK for FloJack. The one you emailed me seems to be for FloBLE Plus.
I followed the instructions on https://flomio.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/USR-ACR3x-1.00.pdf and used AJ Demo app. But, the reader doesn’t work with that. When trying to choose “Function/Power ON” under PICC, it says “The operation timed out.”
I wonder if http://www.acs.com.hk/en/products/227/acr31-swipe-card-reader/ is the right app to use with FloJack on an Android phone, or you have a separate app.Thanks.
April 27, 2016 at 2:04 am #55281I tried two more apps, with no success:
ACS MobileMate: “Card reader not detected!”
ACS PayMobile Demo App: “Device Detected None”April 27, 2016 at 3:00 am #55282@Mary, we haven’t tested with the with the Nexus 6P but it doesn’t seem the 6P is supported by the ACS driver. That said you may want to try raising the volume on your 6P device to the max and double check that the FloJack MSR unit is fully charged (red LED goes out after plugging into charger). If both of these don’t get it working then as a last resort you’ll want to check your FloJack MSR is working. Best way to do that is with our Test App on iOS. We can send that to you via TestFlight if you send us an email with your Apple ID.
hope that helps,
RichardApril 27, 2016 at 2:08 pm #55290Hi,
The volume is max, and the unit is fully charged, but it isn’t still detected. The fact that it doesn’t work with an Android phone, is that a limitation on the ACR35 hardware or a limitation on the default app, i.e., if writing a new app, it can work?
I’ve sent you the Apple ID. Please send the app and the Pro SDK.
A couple of questions:
– What’s the difference between FloJack and FloJack MSR?
– Does FloJack work with a PC/Mac through the audio jack with the SDK?Thanks.
April 27, 2016 at 7:20 pm #55291Hi Mary, thanks for the feedback. We’ve sent you an invite for our Test app via TestFlight. Based on reviewing your order history, it’s seems you have a FloJack MSR so you will want to chose that from the launch screen of the app. We renamed the FloJack from last year to FloJack MSR because we introduced a few new products to our lineup earlier this year. To answer your questions more specifically:
– What’s the difference between FloJack and FloJack MSR?
No difference. They are the same product.– Does FloJack work with a PC/Mac through the audio jack with the SDK?
The FloJack MSR doesn’t not work with PC/Mac because it requires a 3.5mm 4 poll audio jack connector. The best option for reading NFC tags from a PC/Mac is with the ACR1255U-J1 or ACR122U readers. Both of these readers are readily available, connect over USB and are supported by open source tools for PCSC readers.best,
RichardApril 28, 2016 at 2:48 pm #55306Hi,
FloJackMSR worked with the iphone app, but it doesn’t seem to detect all the tag types. From the forum (https://flomio.com/forums/topic/after-subscribing-to-basic-plug-and-play-sdk-how-do-i-retrieve-tag-data/#post-53813), it seems to detect only type 2 tags, is that the case for the following products as well?
Which NFC Forum tag types do above-mentioned readers support (only type 2?)? What’s the difference between these two readers? Are they the same except for BLE mode communication with mobile phones? The fact that FloJack MSR doesn’t work on some Android phones, is that a hardware limitation for ACR35 or software limitation? i.e., can it work with a dedicated new app for all Android phones?
Thanks
April 28, 2016 at 3:12 pm #55307@Mary, the current Flomio SDK supports reading UUIDs from Type 2 and Type 4 cards. It also supports send/receiving APDUs to both these types. We are working on a new version of the SDK and Test app that will read URLs from both these types as well. That will be released by next week on iOS (via TestFlight). The Flomio SDK is available for all the readers we sell except the ACR122U USB reader. For the ACR122U, there are many open source tools to read tags with from a PC/Mac.
The main difference between the ACR1255U-J1 and the ACR122U is indeed BLE hardware support. The FloJack MSR (ACR35) is only supported on these devices because the driver hasn’t been ported to any other devices. So it may or may not work on other devices. It can be made to work with a new app for all Android phones but that will be very expensive. It’s like battling global warming, you can address it all you want but given that there’s tons of new Android phones flooding the market it’s a never ending battle. The FloBLE line of products is the better strategy given that the connectivity to the host device is standardized and broadly adopted. That’s what I said back in 2013 and still holds true.

RichardApril 28, 2016 at 4:33 pm #55311Hi,
Let’s say I pick a specific Android phone or iOS phone, can I develop my own app with your SDK to work with Type 2 and Type 4 cards on that specific phone?
So, there is only one same SDK for all your devices, is that right?
Can I receive the updated SDK & the the test app next week when it’s ready?
If I order a ACR1255U-J1 or ACR122U reader, with they both already work with type 2 & type 4 cards? And for that do I need to develop an app with your (current or updated version) SDK, or do they already have a ready app they can work with (for type 2 & type 4 cards) that works on any Android or iPhone…?
Thanks.
April 28, 2016 at 6:03 pm #55313Let’s say I pick a specific Android phone or iOS phone, can I develop my own app with your SDK to work with Type 2 and Type 4 cards on that specific phone?
>> Absolutely. That’s the purpose of the Flomio SDK. Here’s a video tutorial of how easy it is to get started:So, there is only one same SDK for all your devices, is that right?
>> Yes.Can I receive the updated SDK & the the test app next week when it’s ready?
>> Yes, we distribute through TestFlight and through our Flomio SDK dropbox link.April 28, 2016 at 6:16 pm #55314Hi,
Also wondering what the difference between https://flomio.com/shop/readers/acr1255u-j1-oem-version-of-floble-plus/ and https://flomio.com/shop/readers/floble-plus-nfc-reader-for-mobile/ is? Both seem to work with Flomio SDK? Which one already has the app ready to work on iOS & Android phones?
Thanks.
April 28, 2016 at 6:21 pm #55315Hi Mary, plenty of questions. The ACR1255U-J1 is the OEM version of the FloBLE Plus. That means that they are both hardware equivalents. The FloBLE Plus just includes the Flomio SDK whereas the ACR1255U-J1 does not (purchased separately).
hope that helps.
May 4, 2016 at 8:47 pm #55411Hi,
I had ordered an ACR1255U last week, and the order status is still in process. Do you mind telling me when it’s going to be shipped? I’d appreciate it if you could email me the shipment tracking number.
Thanks
May 6, 2016 at 12:15 pm #55419Hi Mary, your order has been shipped and your tracking information was sent to your email. It takes us a few days to do fulfillment since our order volume can change radically from time to time.
thanks for your patience,

RichardOctober 28, 2016 at 9:26 pm #57112Hi Richard,
Just received the FloJack MSR reader from you guys. I bought the reader after I saw your video where it reads the xNT tag. Unfortunately, the MSR isn’t reading the tag on the iPhone 6S. I know it works cause the green light is on.
What do I do? Kindly help!
Thank you,
RohanOctober 28, 2016 at 10:32 pm #57113Hi Rohan, I’ve sent you the Flomio Test App via TestFlight along with some instructions how to setup and use. You’ll be reading that xNT tag soon enough.

Thank you for this. In your video ‘Flomio iOS SDK Tutorial’, where do you copy the code from starting Step 5 – 8.

RohanOctober 29, 2016 at 7:14 am #57117Hi Rohan, the code is copied/pasted from the README.md file in the Flomio SDK bundle. For iOS it’s in the

RichardOctober 29, 2016 at 2:35 pm #57119Thank you, Richard!
Couple of errors:
1. “FmSessionManager.h” file not found
2. Signing for “Flomio SDK” requires a development team. Select a development team in the project editor. (Cannot find project editor in XCode Version 8.1)
3. Code signing is required for product type ‘Application’ in SDK ‘iOS 10.1’Here’s the link to the screenshot: https://postimg.org/image/432s6wunn/
Best,
RohanOctober 29, 2016 at 3:15 pm #57120Hi Rohan, your issues seem unrelated to the Flomio SDK but more about getting Xcode to build apps for you. I would try building just a simple Xcode sample application of your own and proving that you can get it to run on your device first, then try making a Flomio SDK sample app. Here is some more info I found online regarding the error you encountered.
best,
Richard -
