I have a couple questions about the Flomio SDK Pro.
Does it work with Cordova? If so, is it a modified version of the Cordova plugin that gets email to me once I purchase it? Or is there a function that needs to be called in the plugin to validate the Pro license?
Do you have to pay $125 for each NFC reader or is it a one time fee per application that uses it?
Thanks,
TylerAugust 23, 2017 at 6:53 am #60774Hi Tyler, the Flomio SDK Pro is a direct substitute of the Basic so it will work just as well with the Cordova plugin. The same Cordova plugin we offer would just need a library swapped out in order to graduate Basic to Pro functionality. Once the SDK is invoked the Pro functionality will kick in automatically, allowing you to run the same code as you have done with the Basic SDK.
The Pro SDK is licensed per NFC reader so you would have to purchase more licenses if you plan to distribute an application that uses it. For bulk Pro licenses we offer these discount tiers:
Pro (OnPrem)
Flomio MW @ 15 licenses – $1,500.00 (includes 3hrs of premium SLA)
Flomio MW @ 100 licenses – $10,000.00 (includes 20hrs of premium SLA)
Flomio MW @ 500 licenses – $50,000.00 (includes 100hrs of premium SLA)best,
RichardSeptember 15, 2017 at 3:41 pm #61023If I’m reading this correctly, this means there’s not good way to automate a cordova build if we have to use the Pro SDK.
Is there any way to install the plugin with a flag or something to point to the Pro SDK locally for it to pull the proper files?
We do not keep our platforms project(s) in source, as they is generated by cordova at build time, which means every build would need a manual step to upgrade the SDK.
September 15, 2017 at 6:13 pm #61026@Barry, this is a valid issue and one that we will look into for you. Since most of our Pro SDK customers are enterprises running on legacy stacks (native app dev) we haven’t had this issue with Cordova so this is new. I’ll be working with the dev ops team to address this and allow for Pro Cordova support to be easier.
Ping me on this thread if you haven’t seen an update regarding this in the next couple weeks.

RichardSeptember 18, 2017 at 11:45 am #61078Sounds good. Thank you
Based on this Issue I posted, it sounds like there is a possible path forward for the plugin.

Looks like it could be configured fairly easily, to install with a path to the pro SDK.
I’ll keep an eye out here and there.
