Hi! I’m new on this technology, I’ll like to develop an app that can scan a QRcode and write to an NFC (mifare classic or mifare plus) chip and a RFID UHF chip. Both will be on the same PVC card.
At first I thought doing it on a desktop computer. But doing it on an app sounds a lot better and mobile. Is this posible? What do I need?October 17, 2017 at 1:04 pm #61309Hi Victor, this is possible. You will need an NFC reader and an UHF RFID reader to get this done. My recommendation would be the FloBLE Plus/ACR1255U-J1 and the FloJack Gen2/UGrokIt. We sell both of these on our site and have support for them in our Flomio SDK independently. In other words, we’ve never had a use case where both readers need to be instantiated in the same app as you seem to require in your application.
Do you mind shedding a bit more light on your use case? This will allow us to suggest a few paths you can take to implement such a system. If you’re sensitive to sharing on this public forum then you can purchase Flomio Service hours for a private development session with our team.

RichardOctober 17, 2017 at 2:09 pm #61310Hi Richard, Thanks for the quick response, Yes I know this is not a common case, I will be using a custom PVC card with both chips, the long range will be use to lift a gate and the short range will be read by someone with a mobile device someplace else, like a parking station.
Could I use both SDKs on the same app? to read/write (encode) on both chips. correct me if I’m wrong, but if I use the android version to create and android app, I would not need the FloBlePlus? Although i preferred iOS swift.
The main job of the app, will be encoding the card, this could be typing the number, scanning a 2d barcode or be send to a web server to a unique user account and download to the app for encoding, validating the information encoded, and printing a label *optional, and using this number on a GET call to view PDF document.October 17, 2017 at 11:59 pm #61312Richard, I’m about to place an order on the Devices that you recommended.
