Hello Richard,
We are interested in embedding NFC tags in watches. Does Flomio offer anything in that area? Please advise. Thanks you!
Mike
Hey Mike, thanks for posting. There are a few things we have to address that. First is the Murata Magicstrap, the smallest NFC tag on the market for it’s level of performance. These come with adhesive or are surface mountable on a PCB depending on your assembly process.
Depending on which watch you’re targeting, we also have the new ability of signing Apple Wallet Passes with NFC support. This enables the Apple Watch to present unique and personalized passes over NFC with much better performance than a Magictrap implementation.
We are in the process of releasing Apple Wallet NFC passes as a service to our customers and will be adding Android Pay passes next. This will allow for Apple and Android based wearables with NFC support to be identified uniquely and privately with Flomio’s line of NFC reader products.
best,
Richard
Hello Richard,
How is the performance of the Murata when paired with the Floble? Would we be able to essentially stick the Murata on the wristband of a watch? Please advise. Thank you.
Mike
