I currently have Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablets with OS 6.0.1 which don’t have NFC support. One tablet is considered the “Parent” device and I need to push enrollment information to the “Child” device via our MDM application “Airwatch Relay”. The application encompasses the NFC bump via peer to peer mode. So I am wondering if Flomio has any products that could make this method work with our current tablets?
Hi, are both the “parent” and “child” devices connected to the web? I ask simply because data exchange via the cloud is often more effective than over NFC. Look at the diagram below:
If you look at in the blue line, you can see that by tying the UUID to a cloud data store with push notification support, your “parent” device could read the a NFC tag and UUID to send a contextual notification to a preinstalled app via the cloud. For more details check out this blog post.
Have you considered this approach?? It would only require you to have a Flomio reader on the “parent” device and NFC tags associated with “child” devices.
best,
Richard
