Hey… I’m teaching a new media class in which we potentially want to use your printable NFC stickers as a way to add information to gallery tags in a photography gallery.
I think we get the general gist of things, but do each of your stickers give a unique ID, to send people to a unique web page? I’d rather the viewers in the gallery put their phone over the sticker and get sent to a specific page for each image.
Also, I’m guessing you provide software/hardware to program the nfc interaction.
Essentially, what are the products we’d need to build this physical application?
Thanks,
Rob
Hi Rob, the NFC sticker sheets come with 18 NFC tags, all of which have unique IDs. You can write a simple app using the Flomio SDK to direct scanned tags to different URLs of your choice very easily by associating the unique tag IDs to those URLs in your app. In terms of the NFC readers you can choose from, all of the readers we sell are compatible with the Flomio SDK.
One thing I will point out at the NFC Sticker sheets is that they are not highly accurate in terms of positioning. What this means in that you will have to use our template and test with 8×11 sheets of paper first to make sure your artwork is on mark. This can take some trial and error so be careful. We are working to improve this product but it’s not a trivial thing.
best,
Richard
