The SmartPodium is a self-checkout bin that auto-scans all products placed inside it. It plugs into the wall and connects over WiFi to merchant’s inventory backend to fetch product information and calculate the total. The customer dips their bag of products into the bin and waits for the itemized list and total to appear in their mobile app. They can then pay with their mobile wallet or card on file and can just walk out without waiting in a checkout line.
