Beyond the Basics: How Does NFC Work?

this entry has 0 Comments/ in Posts / by John

Here at Flomio we receive a lot of questions about how NFC tags work. What’s the difference between 14443A and 14443B? What’s a Type 2 tag? What about Felica? The NFC space can be a confusing space with multiple standards and tag types to worry about.

To help clear things up we’re launching a blog series to diver deeper into these topics and hopefully answer many of the questions out there.  Loosely we’ll be covering:

  • NFC Specs and Standards
  • NFC Tag Anticolission and UID’s
  • NFC Forum Tag Type 1, 2, 3, and 4
  • NFC Data Exchange Format (NDEF)

Hope it’s helpful. And as always leave questions / feedback in the comments.
